Final Step in ADT Certification Pipeline - Use Membership Benefits
Once a company’s contract has been deemed to meet ADT’s certification requirements, the company is a member!
“Certification is our “centerpiece” accomplishment,” says Todd Janzen, ADT Administrator. “It is amazing that such a diverse group of ag companies are willing to have their contracts examined by independent third party and use ADT as a tool to be transparent with their customers.”
Member Benefits Include:
Use of the ADT Seal on the company’s website and printed materials
Access to the ADT network of companies, organizations, and supporters at the ADT annual meeting
Helping shape the future of the ADT’s certification process
Learning about the latest issues involving ag data privacy, security, and sharing
Featuring your company in the ADT newsletter
Opportunity to serve on the ADT board of directors
Since the organization’s inception in 2014, more than 50 companies have earned ADT certification. Along with Certified members, ADT has Industry Members who are farmer-led organizations that support ag data transparency. These leading groups include the American Farm Bureau Federation, the American Soybean Association, the National Association of Wheat Growers, the National Corn Growers Association, the National Farmers Union, the National Sorghum Producers, the National Potato Council and the Canadian Federation of Agriculture.
There is also a membership category for companies that don’t collect data but support ADT’s work to advance transparency, simplicity and trust in the use of ag data. This category is known as the “Supporting Member” category and includes McCain, EMILI, AgREE, NASA Acres, FCC Ag Expert, and the National Agricultural Producers Data Cooperative.
“Farmers are making big decisions about adopting new technologies and want assurance that their data is used according to their wishes, our members are here to help,” Janzen says.
