ADT Updated Model Ag Data Use Agreement Announced in Farm Journal Ag Web

Technology on the farm is changing at a rapid pace, with both farmers and the companies who provide the innovation seeking strong relationships. Those relationships are built on transparency, simplicity and trust which ADT seeks to enable and enhance.

Part of our work includes providing a Model Ag Data Use Agreement that helps companies start the process of creating a transparent contract. This contract has been downloaded hundreds of times, and the ADT Board wanted to update the model agreement to reflect the current ag tech landscape. To share details on the update, Todd Janzen, ADT Administrator, gave an exclusive interview to Margy Eckelkamp of Farm Journal.

Several of the updated highlights include a new category for sustainability data (carbon, conservation programs, and climate data), a new category for usage data and how a farmer is using a platform, and addressing artificial intelligence by adding derived data, which would be new data sets that are created based upon use of the ag data itself.
