Who are the primary users of the product, platform, or services?

Dairy farmers, this includes herdsmen and other hired help. Farm advisors as well as milk processors would also be users of the dashboard.

What categories of data does the data platform collect?  

  • Agronomic Data 

  • Farm Management Data                               

  • Land Data

  • Machine Data

  • Weather and Climate Data

Farm Management Data. This includes information related to financial, tax, employment, commodity price, regulatory compliance, supply chain, and other management data.

  • Agronomic Data. This includes crop and field information, such as planting data, seed type, yield, disease and pest management application, fertilization, and prescriptions.

  • Land Data. This includes soil and fertility data, topographical, elevation, watershed, and drainage data, geospatial information, and tillage and conservation data. 

  • Machine Data. This includes telemetry, location, fuel usage, operator, and similar information from agricultural machines.

  • Weather and Climate Data. This includes information related to weather and climate conditions.

  • Livestock Data. This includes animal identification and pedigree, genetic and genomic information, feed consumption, and other data related to livestock.

  • Milk Production Data. This includes daily shipped weights and testing data.

3. Ownership

Do the tech company’s agreements with the user address ownership of user data? 

Yes. You retain ownership of all Personal Information and Farm Data that we collect from you. Pursuant to, and as may be modified by, as applicable, the User Agreement, License Agreement, Services Agreement or other agreement between you and us, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to access, display, copy, distribute, transmit, publish, disclose and otherwise use your Personal Information, including Farm Data, to fulfill our obligations under the applicable agreement and any other use you may consent to in the applicable agreement.

4. Transparency in Aggregation

Does the tech company allow the user to opt out of inclusion in anonymized and aggregated datasets that are accessible by other users? 

No. Currently we do not aggregate datasets. You cannot opt in or out of anything as we currently do not support this.

5. Vendor Access to Data

Does the tech company require outside contractors that have access to user data to follow the tech company’s data policies? 

Yes. We require third-party service provider companies to adhere to the policies in our Privacy Policy.

6. Consent

Does the tech company obtain a user’s consent before sharing user data with third parties? (E.g. integrations, government and others)

Yes. We will not share any of your data with a third-party without your consent. Prior to receiving access to your data, the party must agree to abide by the terms of our Privacy Policy.

7. Consent

By signing up, does the user give the tech company the right to sell aggregated data to third parties without obtaining further consent?

Yes. In an ongoing effort to better understand and serve the customers of the Services, we often conduct research on our customer demographics, interests and behavior, use of the Services, and other statistics, based on the Personal Information, Farm Data, and other information provided to us. This research may be compiled and analyzed on an aggregate basis, and we may share this aggregated data with our affiliates, agents and business partners. This aggregated information does not identify you or any other individual personally. We may also disclose anonymized, aggregated user statistics in order to describe our Services to current and prospective business partners, and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.

8. Portability 

Does the tech company maintain an original copy of user data that can be retrieved or deleted upon a user’s request? 

Yes. Upon your request, assuming no fees are due, we will make available for download all data collected from you.

9. Data Security

Will the tech company notify the user if a breach of data security causes disclosure of the user’s data to an outside party?  

No. We will notify you of any breach in cyber security that results in the unauthorized access to your data.

11. Changes in Company Ownership

Do the tech company’s data agreements address what happens to user data if the tech company is sold to another company?

Yes. We may transfer Personal Information and Farm Data to another entity or its affiliates or service providers some or all information about you in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, acquisition, sale of assets or any line of business, change in ownership control, or financing transaction. We cannot promise that an acquiring party or the merged entity will have the same privacy practices or treat your information the same as described in this Policy.
